Jaipur: A six-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped by sweepers in a Central school in Rajasthan’s Barmer district. Her father filed has a police complaint on Friday. The incident is said to have taken place on Thursday.

The girl reportedly complained of abdomen pain to his father. She was unable to walk following which he immediately took her to hospital where the medical examination confirmed that the girl was sexually abused. She reportedly told her father that two people shut her mouth and forced her to lie down on a table and then raped her. The girl’s father has served in a paramilitary force for over three decades. He said that he has fought for the country, now he would fight to get justice for his daughter. SHO Anita Rani of women police station said that a case has been registered against two sweepers under Sections 376 D and Pocso act.

A medical board has examined the girl. According to Barnmer SP Gangandeep Singla, the medical report has shown that there was no internal injury.

The samples have been sent to FSL for further tests while a counsellor has been called for the girl’s counselling.

Meanwhile, chairperson of state child protection commission, Dr Manan Chaturvedi, has taken cognizance of the matter and asked the police to submit a report after thorough investigation.
