CBI to conduct lie-detection test on 2 ex-officers in Srijan case
New Delhi: The CBI, probing the multi-crore Srijan scam in Bihar, is all set to conduct lie-detection test on two former district revenue officers, who were posted in Bhagalpur district in the state. Sources claimed that the former officers are allegedly hiding facts related to the case. “These two former officers are not co-operating with the probe agency and gave conflicting statements during examination. If required, the CBI may conduct lie-detection tests on them”, sources said.
Sources clarified the agency will first need to seek their consent as legal provisions entail that such a test can not be conducted without their permission. Investigation has revealed that several cheques issued by the banks were allegedly transferred to accounts of Srijan Mahila Vikash Sahyog Samiti Limited (an NGO) by these officials.
