Donald Trump Jr kickstarts India visit by meeting real estate developers in Delhi
New Delhi: United States President Donald Trump's son Donald Trump Jr, who is on a week-long visit to India, met real estate developers at Oberoi Hotel, in New Delhi.
The junior Trump met members of real estate firms M3M India and Tribeca Developers.
“I think M3M has got into development with Trump. We are developers of the project along with our partner Tribeca. Trump Junior is very much particular about the brand specifications. He himself is here to understand the mindset of the buyers,” Director M3M Pankaj Bansal said.
Bansal also threw light on the price range, saying that, “The pricing starts from 6 crore onwards to 12 crore,” adding, “ I think it’s a great experience for him as well because he is handling the entire business with his brother.”
During the week-long trip, Donald Trump Jr will not only endorse his luxurious residential project-Trump Towers, but he is scheduled to deliver a speech on foreign policy in India.
Trump Jr will meet with Indian investors and business leaders in Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune and Gurugram.
Trump Jr will also deliver his maiden speech in India where he will speak on "Reshaping Indo-Pacific Ties: The New Era of Cooperation" at a global business summit on Friday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will also be present, will speak at the summit on the topic of "Preparing India for the Future."
Trump Jr will also visit Kolkata, where the construction of a project with 137 luxury units will begin soon.
According to business partners in India, many units in the Trump Towers are selling about 30 percent per square foot higher than the current market rates. Trump Jr's visit to India is expected to reinforce the trend.
India is Trump Organisation's biggest international market, with four real estate projects underway in Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, and Gurugram.
The Trump Organization has more business entities in India than in any other foreign country, financial filings show, with licensing bringing in estimated payments of USD 1.6 million to USD 11 million since 2014.
Trump Jr's visit to India comes after his sister, Ivanka, visited Hyderabad in November last year to attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES).
