Guwahati: In a significant move the Assam government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Isha Foundation to conserve and rejuvenate the rivers of Assam.

Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal, who was present on the occasion, said, “The Assamese civilisation has been enriched by Brahmaputra and Barak and saving these g prime objectives of the state government. These rivers are the lifelines.”
