Adivasi later shifted his daughter to a private hospital in nearby Shivpuri where she gave birth to a baby girl in normal delivery.
Bhopal: Pregnant daughter of a tribal BJP MLA of Madhya Pradesh was ‘made to wait’ for around 12 hours in a government hospital where she was taken for delivery, forcing the lawmaker to shift her to a private hospital.
MLA from Vijaypur in Sheopur district in MP Sitaram Adivasi admitted his daughter in the district hospital at Sheopur for delivery at around 10.30 on Monday morning.
Doctors in the hospital however referred her to another government hospital due to non-availability of the specialist doctor who had gone to attend a health camp, Mr Adivasi said.
According to him, doctors said a cesarean surgery was needed to be performed on her due to lack of adequate fluid in her uterus.
Mr Adivasi later shifted his daughter to a private hospital in nearby Shivpuri where she gave birth to a baby girl in normal delivery.
