Zakir Musa again threatens separatist leaders
SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir police has taken a serious view of renewed “will chop off your heads” threat issued to separatist Hurriyat Conference leaders allegedly by militant leader Zakir Musa.
An audio clip, purportedly that of Musa, was recently uploaded on social media platforms in which he had threatened to chop off the heads of the separatist leaders as he saw in them an impediment in his mission of establishing Islamic Sharia (law) in the state.
Referring to the murder of Yusuf Nadeem, an activist of Syed Ali Shah Geelani-led Hurriyat Conference faction that took place in central district of Budgam earlier this month, Musa had said that it was he who had ordered his execution and that it was to serve an ultimatum on separatist leaders to desist from pursuing the path of secularism.
He had also reiterated that the “struggle” underway in Kashmir was not meant for indulging in “dirty politics”, but to establish the Islamic rule in the Muslim-majority state.
“These dishonest Hurriyat leaders don’t understand this. They do indulge in dirty politics. They should not come in our way. Otherwise, their heads would be chopped off and then hanged at Lal Chowk (Srinagar’s historic central square),” he said.
Musa had in May last year issued a similar threat.
