Iffi exhibit to attract support of kids, youth
Panjim: In an attempt to attract the support of children and youth for the International Film Festival of India (Iffi) at Goa, the information and broadcasting ministry on Thursday unveiled an interactive exhibition. The exhibition, inaugurated by I&B secretary Amit Khare, aims to make the festival interactive for viewers. It also showcases various new techniques being used by the film industry.
The Interactive Digital Exhibition IFFI@50 has been organised by the Bureau of Outreach and Communication under the ministry. “The main aim of the exhibition is to attract youth towards the film sector which has shown a growth rate of 13.5 per cent last year. Along with Film Bazaar and the festival, this exhibition will also become a source of attraction for youth and delegates here,” said Mr Khare at the event.
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Iffi, the exhibition — IFFI@50 — is a tribute to Iffi journey from its inception in 1952 till now. The aim of the exhibition is to show how Iffi helps showcase Indian cinema to the world and also make India a platform where world cinema can be showcased.
