J&K: 60-yr-old man beaten by group of men, police warn against spread of rumours
Ramban: A 60-year-old man was attacked on Sunday afternoon by a group of men in Jammu and Kashmir's Ramban district.
According to reports, the man, Abdul Hamid Sheikh had brought a buffalo and was walking it to home when he was attacked. Police also informed that the attackers took away Rs 70,000.
The attack took place in Inhar, the same area where Parbhat Singh lives, with whom Sheikh had a tiff. Singh started harassing and thrashing Sheikh and was later joined by other family members. Sheikh sustained minor injuries and got discharged from the local hospital.
On 22nd July, an incident took place in Inhar in Ramsoo in which one Abdul Hamid Sheikh, carrying a buffalo to his home, had a tiff with one Parbhat Singh of the same area&later family of Parbhat Singh also joined. This resulted in minor injuries to Abdul Hamid Sheikh: J&K Police

Three people have been arrested in this case.
Police in a tweet said that it is not a case of cow vigilantism and advised people not to pay any attention to any mischievous propaganda.
