Mulayam's b'day split between brother, son
Lucknow: Samajwadi patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav’s 80th birthday was celebrated with much fanfare by the Samajwadi Party in Lucknow and the Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party in Etawah.
Addressing party workers in Lucknow, Mr Mulayam Singh Yadav said, “A Samajwadi party government is sure to come to power in Uttar Pradesh but you have to decide how a Samajwadi party government can be formed in Delhi.”
He said that he would be truly happy when the youth make up their mind to install a SP government in Delhi. “You should be in Delhi, that is where things happens,” said the senior Yadav.
SP Akhilesh Yadav greeted his father on his birthday, garlanded him and touched his feet at the bedecked Vikramaditya Marg office of the Samajwadi party.
The SP cadres and leaders were also out in full strength to wish their leader on his birthday.
Meanwhile, Mr Mulayam Singh Yadav’s younger brother and head of the newly formed Pragatisheel Samajwadi party (PSP) Shivpal Singh Yadav had organised a grand wrestling competition at their ancestral village at Sefai in Etawah.
