Rajasthan appeals for peaceful stir

Jaipur: Rajasthan home minister Gulab Chand Kataria has asked people to protest peacefully against film Padmaavat.

“We appeal to the protesters that if they want to protest while being within the framework of law and order, they can go ahead with it,” the home minister said while reiterating that no one would be allowed to disrupt peace. However, he also claimed that not many cinema halls in Rajasthan which are ready to screen the film.

However, his appeal made no impact as protesters from damaged vehicles and blocked roads in different parts of the state.
