Plea seeks NIA probe in case of ‘love jihad’

New Delhi: Even as the Supreme Court is to hear the Kerala love jihad controversy on November 27, a fresh petition has been filed seeking NIA probe into the conversion of Hindu and Christian girls into Islam in an orchestrated manner.
A three-judge bench of Chief Justice Dipak Misra and Justices A.M. Kanwilkar and D.Y. Chandrachud told counsel Aishwarya Bhati to await the decision of Hadiya’s case and that the petition from Bindu Sampath, alleging that her daughter had been radicalised and sent to Afghanistan, would be heard after two weeks.
