Not averse to taking up reins of RJD: Tej Pratap Yadav
Patna: Leadership battle in the RJD resurfaced after Lalu Yadav’s elder son Tej Pratap on Monday hinted that he is no longer in mood to hand over the reins of the party to his younger brother Tejashwi Yadav.
After launching Janata Darbar on Monday at the RJD office in Patna, Tej spent several hours in the chamber of Lalu Yadav and also sat on his chair, listening to the grievances of people.
Sources said, “He gave the message by occupying his father’s chair while listening to the grievances of people and calling officials to resolve their problems”.
When was asked whether he would accept the offer to lead the party Tej Pratap Yadav said, “Why not? If they feel that I am capable to run the party”.
A day earlier his supporters had posted a video on Twitter showing him as Arjun being led by Lord Krishna.
His statement and the video has raised eyebrows in the political circle here as recently Tej Partap had created a buzz in the social media by indicating that he was willing to “retire from politics” and hand over the throne of “Hastinapur” to “Arjun” (Tejashwi Yadav) and move to Dwarika.
