MP Scindia seeks govt bungalow in Bhopal
Bhopal: Senior Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia has sought a government bungalow in Bhopal, over one-and-a-half decades after he made debut in the Lok Sabha.
Mr Scindia’s move to shift to Bhopal apparently to ensure further consolidation of his position in the faction-ridden Congress in Madhya Pradesh has alerted his rivals in the party.
In a letter to the state home secretary, Mr Scindia requested the state government to allot a government quarter in Bhopal as soon as possible to enable him to discharge his duty as Lok Sabha member from Guna in MP.
“As Guna MP, I need to travel to Bhopal frequently to discharge my duty as representative of people of my constituency. Hence, sanction me a government quarter in Bhopal as soon as possible,” the letter dated May 23 said.
