Bhind (MP): In a tragic incident, an eight-year-old boy on Monday accidentally shot and killed his 10-year-old sister while playing with his father's, police said.
The incident occurred on Monday morning, when the brother-sister duo was playing on a bed in their house in Dharmpuri area under Kotwali Police Station, said Bhind Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Rajendra Verma.
"The boy - Anuj - was playing with his sister in the morning. He picked up the pistol of his father Dinesh Kumar Ojha, who is a clerk in District Collector's office, and accidentally pulled the trigger. The bullet hit his 10-year-old sister Nidhi," Verma added.
He said the girl died on the spot. Her body was handed over to family after post-mortem.
"A case has been registered and further investigations are underway," he added.
