Lucknow: The video clip of a police constable using third degree on a rickshaw puller in Lucknow has gone viral on the social media.

The accused cop Anand Pratap Singh, posted at Mandiyahu police station, has been suspended.

In the video clip, the constable is seen pulling the victim by his hair and then kicking him with his boots. He is also seen stomping on the man’s chest.

The incident reportedly took place at the ring road in Lucknow where the auto driver was allegedly accused of rash driving and leaving two women injured.

According to the accused cop, the rickshaw driver first refused to stop the vehicle and later did not cooperate with the cops. He alleged that the rickshaw driver was drunk at the time of the incident. The SSP has directed all police personnel to ensure that their behavior remains within realms of law.
