‘Amma’ to soon convene meet to control flare-UP

Thiruvananthapuram: The Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes will soon convene its executive committee to control the flare-up following the decision by Amma’s new team, led by superstar Mohanlal, to unroll the red carpet for actor Dileep, facing grave charges in the case of sexual assault against a fellow artiste.

The move comes in the wake of the Women in Cinema Collective demand for discussions to resolve Amma’s failure to offer succor to the artiste, who was waylaid and raped by henchmen, sent allegedly by Dileep.

Thursday’s major development was the beleaguered Dileep deciding to keep of the activities of the organisation till after he proved his innocence.
