Ashish Vashishta and Saloni Sidana completed legal formalities of their marraige in presence of their family members.

Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officers Ashish Vashishta and Saloni Sidana did the impossible recently by getting married in just Rs 500 flat. While people are finding it difficult to organise weddings due to currency shortage, this couple set an example by paying only the fees at the additional district magistrate court in Bhind, Madhya Pradesh.

Ashish Vashishta is presently posted as the sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) in Gohad while Saloni is the SDM in Vijayawada. The couple who took their IAS exam in 2013 fell in love during training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie.

Ashish, who applied for marriage date at ADM court in Bhind, received the date on November 28. The couple reached the court and completed legal formalities of their wedding in presence of their family members, reports the Financial Express.

Bhind Collector T Ilaya Raja said: “They wanted to get married and it was solemnised in the Additional District Magistrate (ADM) court,” After the formalities, Saloni may get Madhya Pradesh cadre as per rules so she can be with her husband, he said.
