Man in Bihar kills wife for dancing at wedding ceremony

Patna: A man in Bihar has taken his wife’s life because she was dancing in front of relatives at a wedding reception, DNA reported.

He beat her up first and then strangled her to death much to the shock of his relatives. Nobody intervened.

The deceased Munia Devi, wife of  Ranjit Manjhi alias Ramjeet Manjhi, had arrived at her parents’ home in Hassadih Mushari in Patna district ten days ago. The husband followed after a week.

During rituals on Monday, Munia was tempted to join the festivities and dance with other relatives. Majhi did not like her dancing publicly. He started to beat her, then dragged her to the courtyard and strangled her. Munia died on the spot.
Manjhi is absconding.
