Chandigarh: Chopped body of kidnapped 6-year-old boy found in gunny bag

Chandigarh: The brutally chopped body of a 6-year-old boy, who had been kidnapped for ransom from a village in Karnal district was today found in a gunny bag kept
inside a shop near his home, the police said.

Aryan was kidnapped on Monday evening by some unknown persons when he was playing near his home in Popra village.

After the boy did not return home till late in the night, his family lodged a complaint with the police.

On Tuesday, the family got a call with the caller demanding Rs 5 lakh for the boy's release, police said.

On Wednesday, some locals had noticed blood coming out from a shop after they informed the police.

The police team found a bag inside the shop in which lay the boy's body, chopped into pieces.

"We have registered a case. During investigations, names of two culprits have figured. We will nab the culprits soon," DSP Assandh Dalbir Singh said.
