T'gana officer flushes notes down toilet after being caught taking bribe

Hyderabad: A law Telangana officer tore the currency notes and flushed them down the toilet to wipe out evidence after officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught him taking a bribe, IANS reported.

Shakeel Ansari is the Assistant Public Prosecutor who works at the Junior First Class Magistrate’s (JFCM) court in Shadnagar town here.

Ansari, demanded Rs 8,000 from Prabhakar Reddy for dropping his mother’s name from the case.

Following which, Reddy lodged a complaint with the anti-graft agency, that laid a trap to catch the officer.

On Monday, when Ansari was collecting the bribe money from Reddy at latter's residence in Hyderabad ACB team arrived and caught him red-handed.

On noticing the sleuths coming, Ansari tore the currency notes and flushed them down the toilet. The ACB officials retrieved the torn pieces and arrested him.
