Goons rape, brutalise woman at gunpoint

A 21-year-old girl was raped by a local goon in Bihar’s Motihari at gunpoint. According to reports, the victim was dragged out of her house last week by a few men and was badly beaten up and raped.

According to sources, the accused who raped the victim later brutalised her by inserting the pistol and some wooden object in her private parts. She was later rushed to a local hospital in a critical condition. The incident, according to sources, had occurred last week in Jumaitola village under Ramgarhwa police station but the incident came to light on Thursday after family members of the victim complained of “no police action against the accused”.

According to the victim’s mother, “There has been no action against the accused, my daughter was raped and we want police to arrest the accused.”

According to reports the accused, identified as Samiullah, had in the past too sexually assaulted the victim and had also made a video clip of the act which he used to blackmail her.

Sources close to the family said, in retaliation by Samiullah’s blackmailing she attacked him with a blade which infuriated the accused and he raped her and brutalised her. The police later lodged an FIR against five men, including Samiullah, and launched a search operation.

Giving out the details of the incident sources close to family members said, the girl was sexually assaulted on June 15 by Samiullah when she had gone out.

They said, the victim later narrated the incident to her mother who went to the accused house to lodge a formal protest but instead she was abused and beaten up. Peeved by the allegation Samiullah along with five other men dragged her out her house and raped her.

“The incident had occurred on June 15 but medical examination of the victim was done on June 22”. Sources close to family members claimed.
