PM Modi to step up BJP’s Mission UP with 7 rallies
After sounding election bugle in Uttar Pradesh from the Bundelkhand region last month, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address seven more rallies in the poll-bound state by December 24.
After party’s report suggested that the BJP is giving a tough fight to the regional heavyweights, including the ruling Samajwadi Party and Ms Mayawati-led BSP, the BJP has lined up Mr Modi’s rallies in such a way that he addresses rally in each of the six regions, earmarked by the Sangh Parivar for better functioning and coordination for its activities. Mr Modi could address more rallies once the election dates are announced. Sources disclosed through these rallies, BJP poll managers will also gauge whether the party’s performance in the coming Assembly elections will be at par with its last Lok Sabha elections performance or the party needs serious restrategising.
The first of these seven rallies is likely to be held in Ghazipur (Kashi region) on November 14. The next rally is likely to be held in Agra (Braj region) on November 20.
Mr Modi is likely to address a rally in Kushinagar in Gorakhpur region on November 27 and on December 3 in Moradabad in the Paschim Kshetra. He is also likely to address rallies in Bahraich, Kanpur (Kanpur region) and Lucknow (Awadh region).
