Bhopal: Former chief minister Ajit Jogi who has created a ripple in national politics by wooing BSP supremo Mayawati to seal poll pact with his newly floated regional party in the year-end assembly elections in Chhattisgarh, on Wednesday fully backed her decision to go alone in the poll-bound states of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

“BSP has emerged as a major force in MP and Rajasthan”, Mr Jogi who founded Janata Congre-ss Chhattisgarh  after breaking away from Congress a couple of years ago, told the local media while justifying Ms Mayaw-ati’s decision to go alone in these states in the upcoming assembly elections. Mr Jogi also backed her statement blaming AICC general secretary Digvij-ay Singh for the botched alliance talks between BSP and Congress in MP.

Ms Mayawati has acc-used Mr Singh of creating bottlenecks in forging alliance between the two parties for his self interest. “Some stateme-nts by Mr Singh were not beneficial to Congress”, Mr Jogi quipped.
