Congress chief targets PM Modi for not fulfilling promises

The decision to launch NYAY scheme was taken after several rounds of consultations with experts.

Gaya (Bihar): Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not fulfilling promises he had made during the previous Lok Sabha elections.

He said that if Congress party is voted to power in the coming Lok Sabha elections people earning less than Rs 12,000 will get Rs 72,000 in their bank account under the NYAY scheme.

“I don’t make false promises like Prime Minister. The decision to launch NYAY scheme was taken after several rounds of consultations with experts. Rs 72,000 will be deposited in bank accounts of poor people every year if Congress is voted to power”, Mr Gandhi said.

Adding further he said that “Mr Modi failed in all his promises. Not only Rs 15 Lakh but he also couldn’t provide jobs to youths”. Continuing his attack, he said the poor people cannot afford to keep chowkidar.
