Shoe hurled at Punjab CM in Lambi; one detained

New Delhi: A shoe was hurled at Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal while he was rallying in Lambi, a district in Punjab.
One person has been detained in connection with the incident.
The former President of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) was possibly heckled because of the growing discontent among the public towards the work done by the government.
A similar incident had taken place in 2014 when Parkash Badal was at a ceremony in Isru of Khanna, when a man threw a shoe at him.
Recently, his son, Sukhbir Singh Badal was also accosted by the people of Kandhwala village in Jalalabad, when stones were pelted at his convoy.
