Ex-BSP leaders to float new outfit

Ambedkar Jayanti will bring more bad news for the party that is yet to recover from its dismal performance in the UP assembly polls.

Lucknow: With the fortunes of the Bahujan Samaj Party taking a nosedive in Uttar Pradesh, the Ambedkar Jayanti this week will bring more bad news for the party that is yet to recover from its dismal performance in the UP assembly polls.

Former BSP leaders, who have left the party and are disillusioned with Ms Mayawati’s brand of politics, are all set to form a new outfit called ‘Mission Suraksha Parishad’ on Ambedkar Jayanti.

Gangaram Ambedkar, who was Ms Mayawati’s most trusted lieutenants but left the party after the results of the Assembly polls came in, said, “We are appealing to all former BSP leaders as well as workers to join the proposed outfit and continue our mission which late Kanshi Ram had worked for”.

“It has been a month since the results came in but Ms Mayawati is not bothered about the party’s falling graph. She has not made any effort to analyse why the BSP lost. We will form a new outfit and continue to work for Bahujan Samaj,” Mr Gangaram Ambedkar said.
