Yogi minister hails BSP rule better

Bhopal: Senior UP minister Swami Prasad Maurya, in a move that has caused embarrassment to the Yogi government, has said that the Mayawati government was better because it had kept the bureaucracy in discipline.

"Ms Mayawati would keep a close watch on officials and would make sure that her instructions are followed. In Yogi government, the officials do not follow instructions of the ministers and act on their own", Mr Maurya told a news channel.

However, hours later, he claimed that he was misquoted and he meant that BSP was better than the SP regime.
