Karnataka Congress leader is all praise for PM Modi

Karnataka Assembly is scheduled to go to polls early next year.

New Delhi: In another indication that the Congress’ house is not in order in Karnataka, days after former Union minister S.M. Krishna joined the BJP another Congress leader M.V. Rajashekaran, the son-in-law of former AICC President and late Karnataka chief minister S. Nijalingappa, has praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Sources stated that Mr Rajashekaran, who was the minister of state for planning in the Manmohan Singh Cabinet, has written a letter to Mr Modi, complimenting him for the recent BJP’s victory in UP and Uttarakhand.

Interestingly, Karnataka Assembly is scheduled to go to polls early next year.

In his letter, Mr Rajashekaran stated that the Prime Minister has rightly pointed out about the roile of middle class in finding solutions to their problems and making them equal partners in the development process. “You have been able to establish a direct rapport with the electorate, especially with the younger generation of the electorate who constitute a majority of our voters,” he said in the letter.

Mr Rajashekaran also wrote to Union minister M. Venkaiah Naidu.

He praised Mr Naidu and stated that he has contributed much for the success of the Indian democracy and its functioning.
