Valsad (Gujarat): Campaigning for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Valsad, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Wednesday that they never seek communal divide and talk only about development in election rallies.

"Whatever Gujarat has become today is all due to BJP. This development has been made possible by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, when he was Chief Minister and it can be seen even today," Adityanath said.

"Bhuj was destroyed in earthquake long back, but now it is flourishing and Congress must see all this. We (BJP) have never used the term 'Hindus and Muslims' in rallies, we only seek development and security," he said.

Earlier on Wednesday, Adityanath attacked Congress, especially its vice-president, Rahul Gandhi, over his temple visits.

"Why are those people who don't believe in Ram and Krishna are now visiting temples," he questioned while addressing a gathering in Sarigam town of the district.

Both BJP and Congress have upped their ante against each other, as only a few days are left for the Gujarat election to begin.

The polling for 182 seats of Gujarat Assembly will take place on December 9 and 14 and votes will be counted on December 18.
