Trouble is brewing in Jharkhand Congress and there could be a rebellion in the ranks if the Congress high command does not interfere soon. At present, there six Congress MLAs in the state, and out of them, two have openly revolted against state chief Sukhdeo Bhagat. A delegation of Congress leaders have also met with the congress vice-president to apprise him of the situation in Jharkhand.

Barhi MLA Manoj Yadav and Jamtara MLA Irfan Ansari have alleged that the Mr Bhagat has been biased in constituting executive committees. They have alleged that Mr Bhagat took bribes to appoint his close people to these committees. The charge has been denied by Mr Bhagat. His detractors say, “There should have been a more proactive Congress attacking the state government but we are missing from the streets.”

The Congress general secretary incharge B. K. Hariprasad is dousing the fires in Jharkhand. Sources indicate that Subodh Kant Sahai could be in contention if a change is made.
