A change in uniform from the trademark khaki shorts to pants is likely to be announced by the RSS on Sunday. General secretary Bhaiyyaji Joshi is expected to make an official declaration on the final day of Sangh's three-day meet in Nagaur at a press conference.
The colour of the trousers remains a mystery, as some media houses speculate it being changed to grey for ceremonial functions.

The Akhil Bharathiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS), which is considered the highest decision-making body of the RSS claims that a proposal for changing the uniform has been in discussion since the last year. The issue was first addressed in an ABPS meeting in 2010, but due to lack of consensus was deferred till 2015.
-"Discussions are going on in this regard. If change will come through, it will be announced tomorrow,-" said Aniruddh Deshpande, Akhila Bharathiya Sah Sampark Pramukh of the RSS.
The possibility of change was also hinted at earlier by RSS' All India Prachar Pramukh Manmohan Vaidya. With time and situation there are changes that are needed to be brought. We are considering bringing full pants in place of khaki knickers. If a consensus is reached, we will fix the colour, too, but it will not be khaki,-" said Vaidya.
