Youth films video seeking ‘publicity’, kills self
A Delhi-based youth allegedly committed suicide in a field in Rajasthan’s famous pilgrim Mehandipur ka Balaji after making a video, expressing that his last wish was to have his photograph in every newspaper and news channel. The police have been investigating as to whether the video was made by him or under pressure from someone else.
According to the police, the suicide was committed on Tuesday night. Locals spotted his body in a bag on Wednesday and informed the police. The police found the video while checking the date on the deceased’s mobile phone. In the video, the youth was heard saying that no one was responsible for his suicide.
“My name is Mukesh. My father’s name is Sohan Lal. I am from Delhi. I am committing suicide; no one is responsible for my suicide. I have a brother and I want him to be happy. I have a photo in my pocket. After my death publish the photo in newspapers and telecast the news on every news channel that Mukesh has committed suicide. This is my last wish. My family and friends, please forgive me,” he said in the video clip.
However, the police suspect something foul play as Mukesh came all the way from Delhi and committed suicide here and the way the video has been shot. The last call from the deceased’s phone was made to his cousin. His family has been informed and the police hopes that his family “might throw some light on why Mukesh committed suicide”.
