Pakistan women arrange brides for terrorists
The Pakistani police tracked down a band of women affiliated with banned terrorist organisations, arranging marriages for terrorists.
The counter terrorism department (CTD) of Sindh police said that a group of financially well-settled women was involved in arranging terrorists’ marriages.
A police official said wife of Khalid Yousuf Bari, a culprit in custody of security agencies, is patron-in-chief of this beefed-up network. Khalid’s wife circulates videos of terrorist outfit among women, he disclosed.
According to the police official, Bari’s wife founded an academy where over 20 affluent teachers brainwash young girls and collect donations for the proscribed organisations.
Meanwhile, the laptop of a private university’s chief executive was sent to forensic laboratory while another five laptops were seized from arrested terrorists’ facilitators by the Pakistani authorities on Saturday.
The counter-terrorism department (CTD) had also arrested private university’s chief executive Adil Masood Butt among four in alleged facilitation of banned outfit’s operatives in Karachi on Friday.
Five laptops were seized on indication of the arrested facilitators. Law enforcers said key documents have been recovered from the personal computers. Sources said that the data also identified the international network of Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). A list of Tanzeem-e-Islami’s disenchanted members has also been recovered. Alleged terrorist, Khalid Yousaf Bari’s laptop contains extensive information about funding of banned outfit. Bari’s wife had established an educational institution called Al-Zikra University. Adil Masood Butt was apprehended by the Counter-Terrorism Department on December 2. The law enforcers had arrested the well-educated chief executive in a raid in university while the rest of the three alleged extremists were nabbed later on. Butt revealed that terrorist involved in Safoora carnage, Saad Aziz was his ‘business partner.’
