Washington: A 16-year-old teenager has been accused of throwing her baby away from the window of her second floor bedroom, minutes after she got into labour unexpectedly in the wee hours of Saturday.
According to a report in the Metro, the teenager went into labour at around 4 am early in the morning at her home in Nebraska, US, when she was fast asleep.
She told the authorities that she threw the baby out of the window out of panic before narrating the incident to her mother.
Ambulances were rushed to the spot after informing the police, but the baby could not survive the fall, and the doctors declared it brought dead.
The teenager has not been charged so far, the authorities said and added that it could be days before the post mortem report was expected.
