The killing of Simi activists appears fishy and a host of queries need to be answered. Simi, accused of carrying out several attacks and having links with Pakistan-based terror groups, was banned in 2001 after the 9/11 attacks. While it is too early to make any categorical assertion on the Bhopal killings, a free and fair probe overseen by the courts would help in clearing the air, which is thick with allegations and counter-allegations.
