It’s not uncommon to find bike themed cafes and bars in countries like the US. This weekend, though, Mumbai will get a taste of the all-American meal, with a Harley Davidson themed brunch, that promises to be an interesting event for bikers and foodies alike.
The brunch is to be held at Glasshouse in Hyatt Regency, in association with the Harley Owners’ Club’s Mumbai chapter. Getting on board the idea to bring American classics to the table, the meals have been designed specially to fit a biker’s appetite.
Head chef of Hyatt Regency, Kedar Bobde said that the menu will include super-sized burgers, hot dogs, and cold cuts. “There will also be BBQs by the poolside and we will also feature some Asian food with an American twist to it, to give the event a local flavour.
The highlight of the event, though, is bound to be the Harley Davidson bikes that will be brought in specially for the brunch; expect to find the Harley Davidson Fat Boy and the Harley Davidson Street 750 in the hotel’s lobby. Ashish Shome, director of food and beverages at the hotel says that bikers are generally known to be big foodies, therefore food will be the focus for the hotel. Shome also said that the place will be decorated to suit the mood of the event. “There will be a playlist of hard rock music, befitting of the bikes. The brunch is all about food, leather jackets, and bikes.”
To sweeten the deal, one diner will win a 4 hour/40 kilometre ride on one of the Harleys present at the brunch.
The Harley Davidson themed brunch will be held on May 1, at Glasshouse, Hyatt Regency, Sahar Airport Road, Andheri (E)
