Who has the weirdest beard in the world

This is the question that the 2013 National Beard and Moustache Championship is trying to answer. Organised annually at the House of Blues in New Orleans, the competition was documented by photographer Greg Anderson who has been following the ‘beard brawl’ for a few years. The competition, this time around, was filled with the most audacious facial fabrications with beard styles called the ‘full Geribaldi’ and ‘partial musketeer’. These crumb catchers are being judged in 17 categories and the rules that govern it are parameters like length, shape, use of styling aids, colouring, fullness and whether the beard is connected to the moustache, reported Wired. Greg Anderson, the photographer, said photographing these bearded men was no easy task. He had to take around 2,500 shots over two days, lugging some of his own equipment and renting others. He also had to manage convincing the contestants to pose for the photo series, even though most were more than willing to show off.
