A fest for a cause

From debates and musical jams to doodle making and sand painting, the fest has something for all college students.

Students of Narsee Monjee College of Science and Commerce are all geared up to re-launch Rotofest — their socio-economic festival after four years. The fest is all set to kickstart on December 10, and is being organised by the students of the Rotaract Club affiliated the college. With over thousand participants this year, the student organisers assert that it is much more than a regular college fest, especially because all their events aim to raise money for a cause. Karan Rajagopal, the head of the festival elaborates, “On the first evening of the festival, international performers Lost Stories are coming in for the unique concept of Rotofest Charity Night, a concert through which money will be raised for charity.”

The students had started gearing up for the festival three months ago and have constantly been on their toes since the work for it began, “The common spirit that has inspired everyone at Rotofest is to run an initiative and to learn to be proactive. We have been successful in creating an unbreakable bond amongst all members and it was fun working with them,” says a proud Khyati Thacker, a teammember for the festival.
