Delicious twist!
We couldn’t take our eyes off of the red carpet when our desi fashionistas attended Cannes Film Festival this year. And just when we thought that we had enough, chef Pooja Dhingra created desserts inspired by the many gorgeous looks of the carpet!
“We conceptualised the idea a week before Cannes and decided to pick our favourite looks. We made the desserts soon after seeing them on the red carpet. We decided to choose our top five and make them into desserts,” says Pooja.
While the border of Elle Fanning’s dress helped Pooja create pistachio cupcakes, Deepika Padukone’s attire inspired her to make chocolate macaroons.
“The most intricate one was Sonam Kapoor’s cake which was a four-tier champagne chocolate cake. It was covered with gold and we hand-painted the flowers,” she says.
When asked about her favourite creation among all, Pooja says, “Definitely Sonam’s cake. The process was surreal!”
