Jump' into this classic trend

This one-piece attire will never go out of style. And summer is the best time to flaunt this cool look.

In the fashion world, a principle of ‘out with the old and in with the new’ is followed. A true fashionista would never be caught wearing something that is last season. For her it is all about what’s next? The jumpsuits have come quite a long way since they were first introduced. This trend makes an appearance once a year and then disappears only to re-appear the next. Jumpsuits are perfect for the summer season as you are donning just one item of clothing and not layers clothes that will leave you hot and bothered.

Summer is all about flaunting your style but not compromising on comfort. “They are really apt for the season because all you’re wearing is just a one piece outfit rather than a pant and shirt that will leave you feeling uncomfortable in this hot season. They are very handy and by this I mean that you can dress it down and up. Just neck piece thrown on with a jumpsuit is perfect for a night out,” adds designer Prachita Devi. Leave behind all those boring pencil skirts, formal pant suits and dress es and try out a jumpsuit for the office. Designer Balaji Mancham suggests, “Boring office wear is so yesterday! Black jumpsuit paired with beige open collared blazer works wonders and gives a chic look. But if you really want to make heads turn, wear a jumpsuit with a pleated saree.”

Let the trend speak for itself and do not let other aspects take over. Apoorva S Kumar adds, “Keep the accessories to a minimal! Style with a great pair of shoes and earring that suits you best and you’re good to go.” Prachita also suggests that you bring out those hoops and chunky watches as they match perfectly with jumpsuits. She goes on to add, “Wedges for the morning and stilettos will be perfect to night-time look.” Summer indirectly dictates that the things you wear should be loose and comfortable. Apoova adds, “Jumpsuits are perfect when they are sleek and flowy, a big no for stiff fabrics like neoprene.” Fabrics that have a lot of movement like cotton or silk can be worn. “The retro feel is quite in vogue now, so try a variety of prints like florals, checks, polka dots etc,” signs of Prachita.
