We all own a white kurta or two, or more. This trend is so versatile that it can be styled in countless ways. You can pair it with palazzos, shararas, salwar pants, leggings, skirts or even ripped jeans. These  classic outfits were spotted on actresses like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Kangana Ranaut etc.

This versatile and timeless piece is a must-have in any wardrobe. Designer Prachita Devi  says, “This is a very classic trend which can either be dressed up or dressed down and it is perfect for any occasion. You can wear it with formal pants, or for a more casual look with jeans and white sneakers.”

A white kurta can literally be paired with anything. Designer Abhilash Surendran adds some zing to the look, “A white kurta can be worn with cigarette pants. But one must ensure that it is not plain and has some gold work on it.” Self-threaded work is in vogue now. This season try experimenting with such fabrics. Prachita suggests, “A white kurta with chikankari work or woven with different weaves adds a certain texture to the kurta. It can be paired with a very funky jacket with multiple colours or a printed dupatta as well.”

In terms of jewellery, one colour that really pairs well with a white kurta is silver. Designer Aisha Siddique says, “Silver jewellery and a white kurta are made for each other. Since there is no drama going on in the outfit, it can be added in the form of a silver statement neckpiece or oxidised jewelllery.”

Choose something light and flowy for your white kurta. “Look for cotton and linen as they are your best choice and are classy and light. Mal cotton can be worn for a more breezy effect,” Prachita signs off.
