Mumbai girl Apurva Thakur set to represent India at Miss Teen Universe 2019 in Panama

The annual Miss Teen Universe beauty pageant is for teenage girls from all over the world.

Mumbai: Mumbai girl Apurva Thakur will be representing India at this year’s Miss Teen Universe 2019 in Panama. The teen pageant will begin on March 24 and the world would get its new Miss Teen Universe on March 30th.

The annual Miss Teen Universe beauty pageant is for teenage girls from all over the world. This will be the eighth edition of Miss Teen Universe. The contest aims at testing the contestants on the parameters of not just their physical beauty but also tests their personality, talent, and intelligence.

This year’s pageant will see contestants from 28 different countries. Argentina, USA, Mexico and Colombia, to name a few.

Earlier in December last year, Apurva bagged the title of Miss Teen India Universe in 2018. The event was organised by Ms Jasmeet Kaur at Noida's Film City. Jasmeet Kaur, National Director of Miss Teen India Organisation, is the brain behind Miss Teen Universe India.

Leaving other beautiful and elegant contestants from various parts of India, 19-year-old Apurva proved herself worthy of the crown and grabbed the opportunity to represent India at Teen Universe 2019. She hails from Mumbai and she is currently pursuing Bachelor of Architecture from Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia.

"Representing my country at a global platform of Miss Teen Universe is no less than an honour for me. I am super excited about the event and going to give my best there. Blessings of millions of Indians will encourage me to put my best foot forward in Panama," said Apurva.

Srishti Kaur was crowned Miss Teen Universe 2017 which was held in the Ruben Dario National Theatre in Managua, Nicaragua. Srishti was the first ever Indian-Asian winner of Teen Universe pageant.

Jasmeet Kaur believes India is emerging as a strong force in the teen category of Beauty Pageants and is extremely positive that Apurva will make the nation proud.

"Apurva is a very talented young girl and I wish her all the very best. I am confident that she has all that it takes to win this pageant. Our team of experts has done exceedingly well to groom her and prepared her to face every challenge with confidence and positivity. She will definitely bring laurels to her family and the country," said Jasmeet Kaur.

A team of experts worked hard to groom Apurva so that she can bring home the crown, once again.
