Pizza, kofta and burrito, tasting some delicacies, made home style
Staying away from home? Missing mum’s home cooked food?
If you are out of your home for long and you suddenly crave for some ‘home-cooked’ fresh delicacies, and get to choose what you want to have, then FreshMenu is the place where you should reach out to.
For those who are unaware, FreshMenu is a website and app that allows you to choose from a wide array of freshly cooked edibles created by their team of chefs which are both scrumptious and nutritious.
While not exactly a gastronome who likes Italian cuisine, I chanced upon a slice from a sumptuous looking pizza on my friend’s platter which he has ordered from FreshMenu and after a bite, there was no looking back. Let’s just say I managed to eat the lion’s share.
The New York style thin crust base of the Pesto Paneer Pizza is laden with cheese and pesto. Lightly flavoured with a smoky tinge from charring, it makes for a good lunch option and does not seem factory made, like many other pizza brands nowadays.
The toppings were actually fresh and lip-smacking, very much doing justice with the name of the place.
With every bite of the pizza one would crave for more because of the best qualities of add-ons put in them.
The Shahi Kofta Mix Veg Rice Bowl was something a north Indian always craves for and with the right amount of spices and coriander the smell of the food will entice your taste buds to have more.
The aroma of steamed rice with a kofta is perhaps one of the best options available for foodies.
Another popular choice is the Rainbow Burrito Bowl. Rice, paired with Mexican beans and lightly tossed fresh vegetables, it is not only a healthy option, but is amazing in terms of flavour profiles and dimensions. The crunchy broccoli and bell peppers pair amazingly well with the rice, beans and condiments that accompany the bowl.
Not to be outdone, FreshMenu serves an amazing array of desserts as well. We had opted for the Eggless Choco Orange Lava Cake. Lets’s put it this way; it was a decadent delight that is both sinful and amazing. The woozy chocolate filling paired with crumbed oranges made for an amazing sweet dish. Not overtly saccharine laden, the bitterness of the dark chocolate filling shines through making it a nice dessert option.
