A carb-o Nara!

Model Deepashree shares her favourite Italian pasta recipe for our readers.

Ingredients  

  • Penne pasta (boiled as per instructions)
  • Garlic (chopped)
  • Onion (chopped)
  • 4 tbsp cream 
  • Cheese (grated)
  • Chicken, boneless, cut in cubes
  • 2 tsp pepper powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2  tbsp butter
  • 1 egg optional

Method

  • Boil pasta as per instructions on the packet. In a pan, add two tbsp butter, chopped onion, garlic and pepper powder. Stir for a minute.
  • Add chicken, cover and cook for five minutes. For those who would like to add egg to their carbonara, egg can be whisked with cream and added at this stage. 
  • Add four tbsp of cream and grated cheese. Add salt and let the chicken cook in the cream and cheese. 
  • Add  cooked penne pasta and serve hot.
