British Airways accused of sexism by worker who claims he was sacked over 'man bun'

People across the world are breaking gender stereotypes when it comes to fashion and style. From experimenting with hairstyles to men wearing skirts, nothing seems out of bounds for people based on their gender.

But there are also incidents that show how we have a long way to go and stories of people ready to hit back at regressive norms. A British Airways customer service worker has alleged that his bosses are sexist since they sacked him for sporting a ‘man bun’.

The 26-year-old even said that one of them pulled him aside and told him that his hair is like a girl’s hair. He has accused them of terminating his contract after asking him to cut his hair since it breached uniform policy.

They also advised him to put his hair in a turban or turn them into dreadlocks if he didn’t want to cut his locks. Sid Ouared claims that he is facing discrimination because of a hairstyle that is considered appropriate for women but not men.
