Baldness may be cured by drug designed for brittle bone disease
Baldness is a major cause for concern among people in any part of the world. While several brands claim to offer a solution for this and a lot of men even seek medical treatment, the cure may be hidden somewhere else.
It has been observed that a drug created to help with brittle bones can help bald men. The medication causes hair to grow two millimetres in just six days which is a third longer than it normally does.
The drug called WAY-316606 was meant to treat osteoporosis which leaves people with brittle bones. But it was found in lab experiments that it made hair follicles donated by men with male pattern baldness to maintain hair growth for longer.
Currently there are only two drugs that can cure baldness and both have side effects while only producing disappointing results. The only alternate to drugs is a hair transplant which several celebrities have opted for.
