Mobile phones among other gadgets have impacted change in almost all aspects of life, but they are also associated with certain drawbacks. Apart from people getting addicted to technology, physical problems are also blamed on smart phones and computers.

Now a new study seems to dispel the notion that craning over a phone for hours causes damage to the neck. A physiotherapist says that using a phone is the same as reading a book which humans have been doing for long and smart phone use is just incidental to the development of pain in the neck.

A small study in Brazil showed that people who had pain in their neck used phones as much as those who didn’t. Experts also stated that neck pain and back pain are caused by several things building up in the body and a single factor can’t be pointed out as responsible for it.
