People across the world look for reasons to smile in life, but for some that may not be an option. A number of ailments can cause difficulties for people in day to day life but some may even make it a daily ordeal.

Yaya from Cameroon had a huge mass growing inside her mouth that left her unable to speak and eat. The 27-year-old had a tumour that stretched on the side of her mouth and around her chin.

She was only able to leave the house with a scarf since she was too embarrassed and scared of cruel strangers. But an operation made possible by charity has changed things for Yaya as she got her face back.

The woman who can now smile again said she feels released as things that seemed impossible are now easier to do. A tiny lump in her mouth grew into a mass in eight years which were an ordeal for Yaya.
