Johnnie Walker comes up with special edition
Johnnie Walker has now announced a new limited US edition to celebrate the Women’s history month with much pomp. With a completely new twist to their iconic, male logo, the brand is hoping to garner more female whiskey drinkers.
“Introducing Jane Walker, our new icon that celebrates progress in Women’s Rights. With every step, we all move forward,” (sic) they posted on their social media platforms. The whiskey bottles now sport a new Jane Walker on the label. Through this, the brand owner Diageo aims at widening the appeal of the product while celebrating the progress of women.
And it looks like the company is totally invested in the campaign. The London-based Diageo will be donating a dollar from each sale to organisations that promote women. Apart from this, the company also said it is making changes internally to boost its female representation.
