US university starts accepting students via Snapchat

Students who shared their Snapchat usernames in their application are receiving Snaps' about their acceptance.

Universities are slowly but surely catching up with the world of social media that has become an inseparable part of millennials' lives. The University of Wisconsin Green Bay has begun informing applicants about their acceptance by using Snapchat.

Students who shared their Snapchat usernames in their application are receiving ‘Snaps’ that inform them of their acceptance at the institution. Of course, the school also sends the typical acceptance letter to freshmen using traditional mail.

The move has already become quite a hit among students with many replying with excited selfies, according to BuzzFeed.
